Back in 2006, The Real Housewives of Orange County premiered and quickly became a reality television sensation. At its premise, it seems fairly boring – there were no competitions, no prizes, nothing but a camera aimed at a few families in the Orange County area who were fairly well off. However, it soon became apparent that the women were definitely fans of drama, and it became must-see television due to the ridiculous cat fights and crazy splurges.

Soon, Bravo realized they had a winning formula on their hands, and they set up spin-off series in major cities across the nation – New York, Atlanta, New Jersey, Washington, D.C., Beverly Hills, Miami, Potomac, and Dallas. Not to mention, some of the spin-off series have included housewives with such big personalities that they’ve even gotten their own spin-off spin-off shows, like Lisa Vanderpump’s Vanderpump Rules. Audiences just can’t get enough of these women!

Many of the housewives have similar looks – perfectly done hair, carefully done make-up that errs on the heavy side, implants, and a body toned by hours and hours with their personal trainers. While it may not be the look that everyone desires, there’s no denying that some of the housewives look pretty damn sexy. Here are 20 of the hottest Real Housewives.

20. Tamra (Barney) Judge

Ah, Tamra. This blonde bombshell made her debut on season 3 of The Real Housewives of Orange County, and has undergone a transformation from dutiful wife to bold single lady to engaged bride to be. She’s known for her sassy one liners – I mean, who could forget “Jesus Jugs”? – and she’s definitely stirred up her share of drama. She definitely earns a spot on the hottest housewives list – despite having had children and being older than some of the housewives, as she herself said in one of her season taglines, “they make them younger – but they don’t make them hotter.”

19. Claudia Jordan

This gorgeous girl has been busy in the entertainment industry, and has worked a model on Deal or No Deal and The Price Is Right, reality television personality on The Real Housewives of Atlanta and Celebrity Apprentice, and as a radio personality. She competed in pageants growing up, which might account for some of her poise and perma-smile, and despite being at home in both Los Angeles and Atlanta, this lady is actually from the small state of Rhode Island. She was definitely a good pick for the seventh season of the drama-filled show – she’s absolutely stunning!

This former Housewife has definitely had an interesting career trajectory. The California girl started out as a back-up dancer, and eventually ended up joining a rap group and being offered a record deal. Then, she went over to the world of film where she tried her hand at writing, acting, and producing. Finally, she made her reality television debut in the first few seasons of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. It might be easy to forget her, because in comparison to some of the other Housewives, but hey – it bodes much better for her future career opportunities that she’s forgettable rather than associated with cringe-worthy screaming matches.

17. Lizzie Rovsek

While many of the Orange County cast have been Housewife lifers, on the show for several consecutive seasons, Lizzie Rovsek wasn’t quite so fortunate. She debuted in season 9 of the show, and was already just an occasional guest by season 10. We’re not quite sure why the producers didn’t give her more time to prove herself – the Kentucky born former beauty queen was a swimwear designer and owner of Sun Kitten Swimwear. I mean, that’s practically the OC dream!

This Housewife featured on The Real Housewives of Miami earned the nickname “Cuban Barbie,” and it’s easy to see why – she’s slim yet curvy, blonde with piercing blue eyes, and always perfectly made up and dressed in figure-hugging attire. Echevarria is also the executive editor of Venue Magazine, a publication that puts a spotlight on rising Latino stars, fashion trends and more.

15. Brandi Glanville

In the last season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Brandi Glanville was simply an occasional guest, but she was a main cast member for seasons three through five. Glanville got her start in the fashion industry at 16, modeling internationally, and continued to work as a model for over a decade. She was also married to Eddie Cibrian before he started hooking up with country singer LeAnn Rhimes. While she may not be as stunning as in her earlier modeling days, Glanville definitely still has her looks going for her.

While she’s known lately as a main cast member on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which she’s been a part of since the third season, Hadid got her start in the industry as a model who traveled to Paris, Milan, Tokyo, Cape Town and more for work. After her whirlwind 15-year modeling career, Hadid wanted to start a family – and she did, with a real estate developer by the name of Mohamed Hadid. While her children undoubtedly got the best of their mom’s genes, Yolanda definitely has the bone structure of a former model.

This Real Housewives of Orange County cast member got her start as an actress, and while she never quite made the A-List, she had somewhat regular work throughout the 1990s and early 2000s. However, she was truly introduced to a life of glitz and glam when she married successful plastic surgeon Terry Dubrow. She was a stay-at-home mom to her four children for quite awhile before eventually deciding to try to get back into acting, a drama that unfolded throughout her time on the reality show. While she loosened up as the seasons went on, in the first season on the show, Dubrow was known as the prim and proper one amongst the housewives.

At last, our first Jersey girl! Melissa Gorga first appeared in season three of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, and has been a main cast member ever since. The reality television personality and singer was recently married, and the couple have three children together. Like many reality stars, she’s tried to launch a music career, releasing a few fairly unremarkable singles over the years. She may not have the notoriety that some of her Jersey cast mates like Teresa Giudice have, but she’s definitely gorgeous.

This talented lady joined The Real Housewives of Atlanta in its second season, and has been a favourite ever since. While many housewives claim they’ve had successes in the entertainment industry, Burruss-Tucker has legitimately had a pretty incredible career. She was formerly in the group Xscape, but more impressively, she had a hand in penning mega-hits like TLC’s “No Scrubs,” Destiny’s Child’s “Bills, Bills, Bills,” and more. In fact, she was the first African-American woman to ever win the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publisher’s Songwriter of the Year award.

10. Kyle Richards

Apart from the incomparable Lisa Vanderpump, Kyle Richards is the only cast member who has been a part of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills since the very first season. Richards got her start in the entertainment industry as a child actor, and while she worked fairly steadily through the 1970s and 80s, the roles eventually petered out… that is, until she got her gig on reality television. In comparison to her sister Kim, who was also on the show for several seasons, Kyle is the tamer one – but that doesn’t mean she hasn’t had her fair share of drama.

This Brazilian bombshell has been a part of The Real Housewives of Miami since the very first season, and it’s easy to see why they’d keep her on. First of all, she’s gorgeous. Second, her voice basically has two volumes – loud, and insanely loud. I mean, why have drama if you can’t hear it properly? DeMoura also knows how to have a decent conversation, having studied art in Paris and Florence before moving to South Beach. I mean, what’s not to love?

8. Kenya Moore

Moore didn’t join the cast of The Real Housewives of Atlanta until the fifth season, but she definitely made a splash from the very get-go. She essentially marched in with a boyfriend that she was trying to get a proposal out of, she basically tried to create drama with half the cast, and she threw her fair share of ridiculous parties. However, there’s no doubt that she’s a gorgeous woman. Before stepping into the reality television ring as a housewife, Moore was a model and mildly successful actress. Now, she’s the queen of Moore Manor.

7. Alexis Bellino

Ah, who could forget Alexis Bellino, or as Tamra nicknamed her, Jesus Jugs. She was utterly devoted to her husband, her children, and her workout regime. Now, she’s a fairly divisive housewife – some love her, some hate the way she used religion in nearly every conversation. Plus, her husband was probably one of the most hated husbands on the series. However, there’s no denying that her careful diet, rigorous workout regime, and strategic visits to the plastic surgeon have left her with a pretty insane body. While drama is a big part of what makes any Real Housewives series successful, a cast that looks good is one of the reality giant’s main selling points – and Cynthia Bailey doesn’t disappoint. She joined the Atlanta cast in the third season, and has been a part of the show ever since. Like many of the Housewives, Bailey has had a long career in the modeling industry. Chances are, unless you’re a devoted The Real Housewives of Orange County fan, you might not even remember Jo. She was one of the first housewives ever, and as opposed to many housewives who are married with a handful of children, she was just a 26 year old girl dating Slade Smiley (Gretchen Rossi’s now-partner). Basically, Slade provided all the money, and Jo just wanted to have fun – eventually when the relationship went sour, de la Rosa left the show to pursue her singing career. She now works in the marketing world and lives a fairly normal existence.

4. Porsha Williams

Porsha Williams only appeared in three seasons of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, but she was definitely a memorable Housewife. She became well-known after marrying former NHL player Kordell Stewart in a massive wedding, although the marriage fizzled within a few years. Like most of the Housewives, she’s appeared on other reality television shows, and has released a few unremarkable singles. However, let’s be serious – she’ll always have a place in the reality television world because she’s pretty smoking hot.

3. Joyce Giraud de Ohoven

This Puerto Rican bombshell only appeared on a single season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and let’s face it, part of the reason was that she was fairly boring. She’s absolutely gorgeous, with silky raven locks and a killer body. However, she didn’t really create drama or even have much of substance to say. Her career pre-reality television was fairly successful, though, and she’s had small roles on several shows, her face on several magazine covers, and she has quite a few pageant trophies tucked away. Many of the Housewives are beautiful in a way that takes a lot of effort. They may not have a lot to work with naturally, but their hair is always perfectly styled, their make-up is always impeccable, and they never, ever miss an appointment with their personal trainer. However, Joanna Krupa is a different story. The model has been on several men’s magazine covers, was named the Sexiest Swimsuit Model in the World by Maxim, and has appeared on countless ‘hot’ lists. She constantly stirred up drama, whether it was about her or whether she was sticking her nose into others’ business. When audiences first met her, she was caring for her much older fiancé Jeff, and she eventually got together with the cringe-worthy Slade Smiley. Gretchen’s beauty is definitely the kind that gets painted on, but there’s no doubt that she has one of the best bodies amongst all the housewives.
