While you may recognize these stars from the radio and not the beach, that doesn’t mean you are going to hate looking at them spend time on the sand. Being a professional singer is a physically demanding job, and given how often they are on tour, it should not be a shocker that many of them are in very good shape. They also tend to find themselves with a seemingly endless supply of money, and an even more endless amount of swimsuits.
I don’t know if you’re going to be a fan of everyone on this list’s music (especially because it ranges from people like Nicki Minaj and Carrie Underwood, to stunners like Taylor Swift and Rihanna), but I bet you’ll still walk away from this list feeling like the best-looking musicians in the world have been covered. There’s even a celebrity that makes this list twice, but after you see what she is wearing in the second photo (…or y’know, not wearing), you definitely wouldn’t mind if she was the only girl in the world.
As the weather starts to get hotter, clothes start to get smaller, and celebrities are no exception to that rule. Just be glad that we live in 2016, which means any time they step out on the beach those photos are going to be all over Instagram for your viewing pleasure. These are 15 of the sexiest beach photos of these stars taken thus far, but they definitely won’t be the last set as summer is just barely upon us.
20. Rihanna
It is clear Rihanna loves the beach, as there is no shortage of photos of Rihanna in a variety of bikinis. The above photo was taken back in 2015 when Rihanna was relaxing in Honolulu with some friends. Never afraid to add some ‘flash’ to her outfit, Rihanna is also seen wearing a jeweled belly chain. Rihanna also posted videos and photos of her on a fishing trip (in the same outfit) in which she was able to catch a Mahi-Mahi! Looks like her talent isn’t restricted to the recording studio.
19. Nicki Minaj
In 2014, Nicki decided to celebrate her 10-year anniversary with her then-boyfriend Safaree Samuels by taking some time off in Mexico. Let’s hope the photos aren’t too painful of a memory for Safaree, as the two ended things that same year. Minaj posted several swimsuit poses from her trip, including several two-piece bikinis that fans would not be opposed to see making a re-appearance on the beach this season. She is currently linked to Meek Mill, who she reportedly started also dating in 2014.
18. Lady Gaga
You may recognize Lady Gaga as being the person who often goes to extremes to alter her appearance for her performances, but you can’t always be going over the top. Gaga kept things simple with a green bikini when she went splashing around in the Bahamas back in June of 2015. The photos got attention not only because of her figure, but also because it was how the world found out that Gaga had decided to bleach her eyebrows blonde (which in the process, now matched her dyed hair). At the time, Gaga had 116.8 million followers on social media, so you can imagine they were all too happy to re-tweet and share these photos absolutely everywhere.
17. Taylor Swift
Calvin Harris was probably pretty stoked when he and his girlfriend Taylor Swift decided to take a vacation to celebrate their 1 year of being together. Several photos from the trip made their way to Instagram, but perhaps none was more stunning than the above one of Swift. Taken by Calvin, Swift makes it clear that she feels confident on the beach. Given that Swift is known to be one of the hardest working musicians, you can imagine there may not be as many opportunities to catch her on a beach this summer. Thankfully, at least you know the next time if she does, Calvin and his camera will probably not be far behind.
16. Miley Cyrus
Miley has done a good job of making sure the world knows that she can have a good time just about anywhere, especially on the beach. In 2015, the pop icon had unveiled her new “Rocking her Summer” campaign that was run for Golden Lady Hosieries. The above photo also shows her holding a can of ‘Squirt’ soda. I guess standing in front of the camera can get exhausting. Don’t even get me started on what on earth appears to be on her feet.
15. Mariah Carey
Mariah is no stranger to stepping out in a swimsuit. Whether it’s for a photoshoot, or just a casual day on the beach, Mariah is also no stranger to catching everyone’s attention. The above photo was taken back in January when Mariah was out on vacation in St. Barts. Mariah is currently dating billionaire James Packer, and had taken her and her 4-year-old twins out on his yacht for a little getaway. The fact that Mariah is 45 years old and is still considered to be one of the most beautiful people in the world is a huge credit to how hard she works at her fitness.
14. Lana Del Rey
Lana Del Rey worked incredibly hard to try and get some privacy on this day. She went to the beach early, and by herself, in hopes that she would not have the paparazzi get all up in her business. Yet things don’t always work out that way, especially when you are as talented and beautiful as Lana. The photos were taken this past April and show Lana stretching out on a beach in Miami. Lana recently ended her relationship with her long-term boyfriend Francesco Carrozzini, who she dated for a little over a year. While that doesn’t mean you’re going to have any luck trying to approach her on the beach, at least you know she’s single.
13. Jennifer Lopez
The above photo may not be from a candid day on the beach, but you’d be silly if you don’t think it makes people all the more excited for beach season. Lopez has been one of the biggest sex-icons in society for decades, and at the age of 45, posed in the above outfit for US Weekly. Lopez was on the cover of their “Best Bodies Issue”. Hard to see anyone arguing with their choice for a cover model. Lopez has often posted to Instagram talking about how much she loves warm weather and the summer, so you better believe that she’ll be sharing some swimsuit photos all summer long.
12. Fergie
Back in 2015, Fergie was busy being a bridesmaid to one of her close friends who was getting married in Florida. But the wedding was on Saturday, which meant that on the Friday, her and her friends hit up the beach! Fergie may not look it, but she is 40 years old in the above photo. Fergie often promotes a healthy lifestyle and positive body image and it is clear that she follows her own advice. I guess these photos are just another reminder for her friend of her wedding weekend.
11. Rita Ora
Rita Ora may be a judge on The X Factor, but nobody is going to be judging her after she steps out in this bikini. Ora wore the outfit on a day where she hung out on the beach with her close friend Daisy Lowe. The photos show a Reserved sign not far from Rita, I can only imagine the amount of unwanted attention she must receive on the beach. The photos quickly went viral, and an article about it amassed close to 3,000 shares on Dailymail.
10. Selena Gomez
Selena Gomez may not be one of the most scandalous celebrities in Hollywood, but she sure can get people talking. Especially when she posts fantastic photos like the one above. Granted, you can’t really see her face, but there are plenty of photos of her face out there and only so many of her in a bathing suit. Especially one that seems to allow Selena to show off both her chest, as well as her legs. A few more photos like that and perhaps Justin Bieber will come calling again…On second thought, maybe stop posting photos that look like this, Selena!
9. Avril Lavigne
Avril Lavigne may not be hitting up the recording studio as often as she used to, but if instead she’s going to the beach, I don’t think people are going to mind too much! Avril’s above photo may not look all too scandalous, especially in context to some of the photos you are about to see, but she did learn something that not everyone on this list has. That if you get thrown up in the air by your partner, you have a high chance of having some indecent exposure! The photos were taken back in 2010 and while she is still contained in the above photo (presumable adjusting herself after the incident), I assure you she is not in the other photos from that day that made their way to the internet.
8. Nicole Scherzinger
When it comes to stretching out by the pool, I don’t know if I look quite as good as Nicole Scherzinger. Nicole may not be as relevant in the world after her most prominent band The Pussycat Dolls disbanded in 2009, but she’s still beautiful enough to turn heads. As is the outstanding view she gets to look out at. It’s not enough that these celebrities have to be incredibly good looking, but they also get to go to some of the most beautiful places in the world. Put me in that location and a bag of Cheetos and I bet I could blow up Instagram too!
7. Britney Spears
Britney caught everyone’s attention when photos from her trip to Hawaii in July 2015 were posted online. Britney was relaxing with her two sons, but that’s definitely not what got people talking! While some may have had the image of her shaving her head burned into their minds, this is definitely one way to help her re-emerge as one of the sexiest people in the music business. Britney’s latest album was released in May 2016, so with or without the beach, she is sure to have a busy summer ahead of her.
6. Christina Milian
Christina Milian released an album in 2003 called So Amazin’ but that is also what people may be thinking after seeing her swimsuit photos on Instagram. Milian entered the music industry at the age of 19, and despite being less active as an artist today, she clearly still takes care of herself. Christina gave birth to her daughter (seen above) in 2010, so you can bet her fans are hoping they take a lot of ‘family vacations’ to the beach. The above photo was taken back in 2012, but that doesn’t mean that Christina won’t still be able to turn heads if she steps out on the beach in 2016.
5. Carrie Underwood
Carrie Underwood is one of the biggest success stories from the reality show American Idol. She’s won several awards, remained relevant and has an incredibly promising future ahead of her. Carrie is also a big advocate of having a healthy mindset, and took to Instagram to show off her recent in-shape body, stating the outfit was “Adorable and athletic…and covers everything I want covered!”
Carrie isn’t as familiar to the beach scene as some of the people on this list, but there is no denying that she still looks gorgeous when she decides to take in the sun.
4. Katy Perry
There is no shortage of amazing photos of Katy Perry in a bikini. Don’t believe me? She even made #1 on the list of bustiest beach babes and that was for a different outfit! The above photo was taken back in 2014 when Katy was spending time in Australia for part of her tour. At the very least you know she likes to relax just as hard as she likes to perform. What you also don’t get to see, is there was another photo of her from the same day eating an ice-cream bar! Talk about seduction city, am I right, boys?
3. Ellie Goulding
Ellie clearly showed she was no stranger to the sun, as she stepped out looking tanned and beautiful on a yacht in 2015. Ellie came to prominence in 2015 after her single “Love me Like You Do” earned her a Grammy Award nomination. Ellie has opened up in the past about how she often tries different boot camp exercises, as well as boxing to help maintain her figure. Goulding has opened up about how in 2016 she wants to spend more time getting to know herself after a hectic 2015 in which she was on tour for a large majority of it.
2. Beyonce
C’mon now, you didn’t think you’d really be able to get through the entire list without Queen Bey making an appearance, did you? The above photos made waves because it was a Mara Hoffman-style bikini which is known to be super flattering on a variety of body types. I don’t think there are many people out there that don’t think Beyonce would be able to pull off a trash bag. Beyonce is looking off to the side in the picture, which may be for the best, because I imagine a lot of people are probably staring down south.
1. Rihanna Again!
If you want to find naked photos of Rihanna, it’s not going to take you more than a few clicks are the internet. Yet did you know that she stepped out on a beach in pasties? You do now! The above photos were taken of Rihanna in 2014 during a photo-shoot in Angra Dos Reis, Brazil. So at least she knew the weather was going to be gorgeous. This photo may not be the traditional candid shot that was peppered throughout our list, but I don’t think you’re going to be doing too much complaining. Given that Rihanna may love the beach more than any other musician on this list, perhaps it is only fitting that she gets to bookend our list.
