Women want to be models, and guys want to date them. Pretty much all models are gorgeous, there is no doubt about that. But the thing is, most of them look the same. They look the way that almost no women do in real life, at least not many that I know.  There has long been talk about how models hurt the body image of the average American woman, as they portray women to be so much thinner than they actually are.

There are some new models out there who are changing that. These women are totally gorgeous but have a way more normal frame. One of these women is Ashley Graham. While she is known as a “plus-size” model, the reality is that she is actually more normal sized. Regardless, she became the first plus-sized model to appear on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.

15. Rocking A Bra

See what I mean? Ashley is hot. Her face is amazing, and she has the type of body that anyone finds attractive. She first became well known for modeling for Lane Bryant, which is a plus-sized clothing store, and her career took off from there. She has modeled for Elle, Vogue and Glamour, as well as many other magazines and websites. As we said earlier, her biggest gig to date is the cover of Sports Illustrated.  She has been in the modeling game for 15 years.

14. Looks Great In Lingerie

Ashley looks gorgeous in pretty much anything she wears, and this is obviously no exception.  Ashley is from Lincoln Nebraska, and was discovered in a mall when she was 12-years-old. Now to me that sounds like the beginning of a police report, but I guess sometimes there really are modeling agents hanging out at malls. Who knew?  By the time she was 15 she signed with the Ford Modeling Agency, which is one of the most prestigious agencies out there.

Those eyes, those lips, those…okay, never mind, I’m not going to go there. The coolest thing about Ashley is that she loves her body. She said that when she was twelve years old that she already was a size 12, which is considered big by many women. She says her mother made her feel strong about who she was: “My mother instilled such a message in me at a young age. She told me beauty comes from within … It starts at the home.” Good job, Mrs. Graham! If it wasn’t for you, we probably never would have gotten to see Ashley, which would have been a shame.

12. She Can Pull Off Any Look

She has been in  Elle Canada and Elle Quebec. Not to mention Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Glamour and Latina. As far as advertising, she has been in Levi’s ads, as well as Bloomingdale’s, Hanes, Spanx, Liz Claiborne, Macy’s, Nordstrom, Target and Lane Bryant. That’s a big-time list of stores. So it looks like Ashley is not only gorgeous, but is probably pretty darn rich as well. She gets more intriguing by the second.

11. Thank You Sports Illustrated

Speaking of Lane Bryant, at one point ABC refused to air one of their ads featuring Ashley, as they said that she was too “busty” in the ad. First of all, there is no such thing as too busty. Second, who do they think they are trying to deprive us Ashley being busty? The ad eventually aired, and all the controversy really did was make Ashley a bigger star by having it air on Fox during American Idol. All’s well that ends well, especially when it comes to getting to get a good look at Ashley’s body.

10. Pretty In Black

I know what a lot of you are thinking at this point. “Hey, I think I will find her email, and send her a photo of me looking all handsome, and then she will write back and be my girlfriend.” First of all, stop being so creepy, second it isn’t going to happen. Ashley is married to a guy named Justin Ervin – they have been married since 2010. We at TheRichest think Justin is a very lucky man. Hopefully he does as well because Ashley is gorgeous.

This one illustrates in large part why Ashley is such a big star. It’s her face. I mean, yes, her body is awesome, but when a woman has a face like this she can be almost any size that she wants and still be totally attractive. Those eyes and those lips are pretty much second to none. I suppose it makes sense now that a modeling scout found her in a mall when she was twelve… Okay, no, it still seems weird to me. Ashley does work out. She has said she exercises three to four times a week and tries to eat healthy and organic foods. She said “If I didn’t work out I’d be really sloppy and I’d probably jiggle a lot”. Oh man, Ashley jiggling? That sounds just awful, doesn’t it?  She has a bunch of videos out called Curvy Fit Club for those women who have some curves, but still want to stay super fit. Men everywhere throughout the world should salute Ashley for attempting to make more women’s bodies look like hers.

This photo of Ashley really shows what her scene is all about. Yes, she is totally hot, she is beautiful, and her body looks amazing. But what really makes this photo killer is her confidence. Whether you are a woman or a guy, being comfortable and confident with who you are is attractive. I am not talking fake confidence, though, people can recognize that a mile away. Ashley has said that some people troll her on Instagram about her weight, or say things about how she should airbrush her photos but she could care less.  She says “I don’t care. I’ve been doing this for fifteen years so I just laugh at it.” That is the thing, too, she is a millionaire doing what she does, and yet people still think they can make her feel badly about herself? It isn’t going to happen, and it shouldn’t, as Ashley is a total knock out. C’mon, anyone can see this.

Well anyway, it makes sense because Ashley actually designs lingerie herself.  She had this to say about it: “I’m a sexy girl who likes to wear see-through shirts with lace popping out, and I really wanted that in my size.” Sounds like a good idea Ashley – we all support you in that.

Ashley has won awards like the “Full Figured Fashion Week’s Plus Model of the Year” and we can see why. She is not only a very hot woman, but she has the confidence to show off a body that men find attractive, and one that is very similar to what a lot of regular women have. This kind of thing is good for all of us. And not only that, but as I have said numerous times, Ashley is just totally hot and fun to look at, and when all else fails in life, we still have that.

I don’t know how many of you watched the MTV show called Made. It was basically a show where normal schlubs would get all excited about trying to become something they were not, and they usually failed in the process. Ashley was on that show way back in 2007 as a celebrity coach trying to help someone become a plus-sized model. I am not sure what happened to that person, but we all know that Ashley has just become more and more famous as the years went on.

1. The Best Role Model

The words “role model” often get overused in our society, but there is no doubt that Ashley is just that for a lot of young women. Many of them grow up thinking there is something wrong with their bodies because of how women are portrayed in the media, and the fact that most models are dangerously thin. Ashley has gone a long way towards taking all of that back, and showing young women all over the world that it is okay to be themselves, and that they can look good and still be natural at the same time.
